Job summary

The role involves electrical construction, operation and maintenance at Journeyman level in accordance with HEA safety standards and procedures. The successful candidate will install and maintain overhead and underground lines, read shop drawings, and respond to outages, with a focus on safety, professionalism, and service to members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a federally certified apprenticeship with Journeyman Lineman exam CFR 1910.269.
• Annual proficiency demonstrated per OSHA CFR 1910.269.
• Valid Alaska CDL and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical construction, operation and maintenance at Journeyman level per procedures.
• Construct and maintain overhead lines: poles, towers, fixtures.
• Install splices, terminations, transformers, switch cabinets, conduits, conductors.
• Operate equipment and vehicles for line maintenance and construction.
• Respond to outages and perform maintenance outside normal hours when required.
• Provide professional, courteous service reflecting HEA values to members.
