Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager based in Sand Point, Alaska. You will oversee HACCP, sanitation, and QA programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and product integrity across production sites.

The role requires travel within Alaska and leadership of QA staff, audits, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and customer service. A strong QA background in seafood is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in food production or seafood industry.
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in food production or seafood industry.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead HACCP and sanitation program implementation and training.
• Oversee product monitoring and conformance to specifications.
• Direct FSQA supervisors and staff and ensure proper training.
• Serve as primary representative for QA during audits (2nd/3rd party).
• Ensure sanitation and hygiene standards across production personnel.
• Coordinate customer documentation, COAs/COCs and timely submissions.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to address technical requirements.
• Respond to customer complaints with investigation and corrective actions.
• Support cross-functional projects and share information with customers.
