Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to ensure the quality of production processes, materials and products. You will perform tests, document data, and communicate findings to drive improvements in partnership with production and QA teams.

The role requires HACCP certification and several years of experience in food processing and QA. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a path to growth within a leading seafood company.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in food processing.
• 1 year of experience in QA in a food processing facility.
• HACCP certification
• HS Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications and regulations.
• Documents data obtained during QA activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company procedures.
• Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded.
• Applies acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with grade and status.
• Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.
• Communicates issues identified during QA activities and suggests process improvements.
• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of QA activities to production.
