Job summary

Trident Seafoods, based in Seattle with Alaska operations, is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager in Sand Point, Alaska. You will oversee site food safety, quality, and GFSI programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations for seafood processing.

You will lead FSQA staff, coordinate audits, and support customer specifications and documentation while traveling seasonally to other Alaska plants as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Quality Assurance, preferably in seafood/food production.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in QA.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Leads HACCP and sanitation program implementation, verification, and improvement.
• Oversees product monitoring, inspection, and conformance to specs.
• Directs FSQA supervisors and staff training for GMP and CCP compliance.
• Audits readiness: regulatory, 2nd party, and third-party (BRC/GFSI).
• Manages customer-required documentation and technical submissions.
• Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service on technical needs.
