Job summary

49th State Brewing Company in Anchorage is looking for experienced servers to join a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. You will deliver outstanding guest experiences with attentive service, deep menu knowledge, and genuine Alaskan hospitality.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in serving or front-of-house, be 18+, and be comfortable using POS systems (Toast preferred). The role includes tips plus base wage and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in serving, customer service, or related front-of-house positions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Proficient with POS systems; Toast preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Alaska Food Handler Card required.
• TAPS certification required.
• Level 1 Beer Server certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service every time.
• Provide attentive table service by taking and delivering orders.
• Memorize menu items and upsell daily specials.
• Prepare and present food attractively with condiments and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies in service areas.
• Assist guests promptly and professionally.
• Possibility of outdoor shifts in varying weather.
• Share knowledge about local activities and the Alaskan experience.
