Job summary

Ahtna, Inc. is seeking a Field Supervisor based out of Anchorage or Palmer, AK to lead construction and environmental teams statewide. The role requires coordinating field personnel, ensuring safety, and maintaining schedule and budget with travel up to 75%.

The position pays $75.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with 3% match, PTO, and holidays. Reports to Construction Manager or site designee.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 15 years of experience supervising construction crews.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 hr certification.
• Knowledge of construction machinery, tools, and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered under company policy.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpenters, equipment operators, and other craft laborers on construction and environmental sites.
• Examine and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and specifications.
• Read blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Estimate materials and worker requirements to complete jobs.
• Schedule and supervise activities of construction or extractive workers.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, managers, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Order or requisition materials and supplies as needed.
• Train workers in construction methods, safety procedures, and company policies.
