Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation seeks a Superintendent to lead day-to-day field execution of civil construction and infrastructure projects across Alaska, including remote sites. The role emphasizes safety, productivity, and coordination of crews, equipment, and logistics, with frequent travel across the state and a location in Anchorage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 10 years of directly relevant construction supervision may substitute.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible field supervision in heavy civil construction or related operations.
• Demonstrated experience supervising construction crews and coordinating field operations.
• Ability to plan and execute work safely while maintaining production, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documents.
• Must be able to travel extensively across Alaska and work variable or rotational schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership for assigned civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily and weekly field activities per schedules.
• Supervise General Foremen, Foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors.
• Establish safety, productivity, quality, and conduct expectations.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to maintain production.
• Monitor production against schedule and identify delays or constraints.
• Collaborate to develop short-term and look-ahead execution schedules.
• Coordinate sequencing between crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Verify work aligns with plans, specs, and project procedures.
• Identify site risks and communicate them to the Project Manager.
• Participate in startup, mobilization, demobilization, and closeout activities.
• Travel extensively within Alaska to support project execution.
• Work variable or rotational schedules as required.
