Job summary

NCC is seeking a Superintendent to lead day-to-day field execution of civil construction and infrastructure projects across Alaska, including remote and logistically challenging environments.

The role requires coordinating field crews, managing safety, quality, and production while partnering with Project Managers. Located in Anchorage, AK with frequent travel to project sites and a focus on NCC's Civil & Marine operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible field supervision experience in heavy civil construction, infrastructure, remote construction, or related operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Alaska.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documents.
• Proven ability to coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other field resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership and direction for assigned civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily and weekly field activities in accordance with project schedules and production objectives.
• Supervise foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors; enforce safety, productivity, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to develop short-term and look-ahead schedules and execution strategies.
• Monitor labor productivity and equipment usage to ensure cost control and on-time delivery.
• Travel extensively across Alaska to support project execution.
