Job summary

Wayne Alarm Systems on Nantucket seeks a hands-on Security Systems Technician to install and service security products across Nantucket and the Cape region. You will work with access control, fire alarm, CCTV, and IP video systems, diagnosing issues and replacing components as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels (Ademco, GE, DSC, Firelite, Nabco, etc.)
• Able to troubleshoot technical problems

Responsibilities

• Install security products including access control, fire alarm, CCTV, IP video.
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures for identifying repairs.
• Replace system components as assigned (panels, alarms, etc.).
• Request equipment/supplies to maintain inventory.
• Respond to emergencies during and after hours.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate inventory records.

Wayne Alarm Systems is seeking a motivated & reliable Security Systems Technician to support our growing operations on Nantucket, with hiring based out of the Hyannis area. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation of all security products including but limited to: Access Control Fire Alarm Security Systems CCTV IP Video
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment & systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Request equipment & supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory & ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service
• Respond to emergency situations during & after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools & equipment
• Keep accurate inventory records

Requirements:

• Experience with Alarm panels such as: Ademco, GE, DSC, Firelite, Nabco & others
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must have a good driving record
• Valid driver's license Systems Technician Class D License or higher, or in school to attain license
• Hourly Range: $26.00 - $40.00
• Physical Demands: Lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing & balancing, kneeling, crouching & or crawling & significant fine finger dexterity
• Position Type & Expected Hours of Work: Full time. Monday through Friday. 40 hours weekly. Travel: To & from Nantucket & the surrounding cape area
