Job summary

Security Alarm Systems and Audio Video Integrator in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Security & Low Voltage Service Technician to join our growing team. You will install, service, and troubleshoot security, video, networking, and home automation systems for residential and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of relevant experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years with low-voltage system installations, service, and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in intrusion detection and electronic security systems.
• Experience with residential and commercial security, video, and networking.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and project documentation.
• Proficient with testing/diagnostic equipment.
• Experience terminating Cat5e/Cat6 and coaxial cabling.
• Knowledge of installation standards and job-site safety.

Round Rock based integration companyis seeking an experienced Security & Low Voltage Service Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in security systems, video surveillance,networking, audio/video, and smart home automation solutions for residential and commercial clients throughout Central Texas.

This position is ideal for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality installations, exceptional customer service, and reliable technical support.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems.
• Strong technical background in intrusion detection and electronic security systems.
• Experience with residential and commercial security systems, video surveillance, networking, and related low-voltage technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
• Proficient in the use of testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience terminating and troubleshooting Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, coaxial cable, and network-connected devices.
• Working knowledge of installation standards, industry best practices, and job-site safety requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows-based applications, and mobile field service software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Texas Security License or ability to obtain and maintain required licensing.
• Industry certifications are a plus.

Requirements

• Must possess standard technician hand tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work on ladders, and perform installation activities in residential and commercial environments.
