Job summary

First Community Services-Texas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Systems Analyst to provide technical support for the Accounting Deputy Controller and Assistant Deputy Controller.

The role designs dashboards, queries databases, and leads implementations across Concur and Oracle/Prologue environments. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in accounting or technology, a related bachelor's degree, advanced Excel skills, and strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 5–10 years in Accounting or Technology substitutable
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with advanced MS Excel (2+ years)
• Data mining and ad-hoc reporting experience
• Experience with Concur, Prologue, Oracle applications, and/or other accounting/financial software
• Understanding of Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Cycles
• Experience in training new hires in system applications
• Creative and collaborative with multiple departments
• Strong communication to translate technical issues for nontechnical staff

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Accounting Deputy Controller and Assistant Accounting Deputy Controller
• Establish and modify reporting methods and procedures for effective content
• Design and query databases and financial information as needed
• Design and manage dashboards for the Accounting Departments
• Lead new implementations, upgrades, and configuration changes within identified applications
• Configuration administrator for Concur, Oracle ARCS, Oracle FCCS, and Prologue
• Capture and track enhancement requests to improve efficiency
• Develop and maintain department projects for live and cyclical reporting
• Perform system-specific programming tasks related to the General Ledger and other applications
• Train new employees in software applications
• Create and maintain process documentation and job aids for knowledge transfer
• Make software recommendations to comply with accounting standards and initiatives
• Lead business case development for process optimization and automation
• Contribute input to strategic planning
• Maintain an organizational SharePoint for the Accounting Department
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Handle other duties as assigned

• At least 18 years of age
• Bachelor's degree in accounting information systems, analytics, or managerial Information systems; 5-10 years in the Accounting or Technology Field(s) may be substituted

• Collaborate with supervisors to capture and track enhancement requests to streamline and improve efficiency through completion
• Recommend, develop, and maintain department projects for live and cyclical reporting
• Perform system-specific programming tasks related to the General Ledger and other applications used within the Accounting Department
• Train new employees in software applications
• Create and maintain process documentation and job aids that standardize repeatable tasks, promote knowledge transfer, and ensure business continuity
• Make recommendations for software applications to comply with new accounting standards and/or department initiatives
• Lead the development of business cases for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiency
• Provide input in strategic planning
• Maintain an organizational SharePoint for the Accounting Department and groups
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time
