Job summary

Black Box in the Miami area is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide lead operational support for a large Aruba wireless environment, including controllers and access points, across the airport campus. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain wireless services to ensure security, availability, and performance for airport staff and tenants.

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise wireless networks.
Experience with Aruba wireless infrastructure, controllers, and large AP deployments.
Experience troubleshooting wireless connectivity, roaming, RF issues.
Experience with mission-critical/high-availability networks.
Experience using network management, monitoring, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Strong TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, routing and switching knowledge.
Aruba certifications (ACMA/ACMP/ACSA) and other networking certs preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide operational support for Aruba wireless environment across airport locations.
Monitor infrastructure, alarms, logs, and performance to preempt issues.
Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, interference, and coverage.
Coordinate changes and testing per change management procedures.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with airport stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents.
