The City of Houston seeks a Staff Analyst (Safety Management System) to develop, manage, and administer an FAA-compliant SMS for the Houston Airport System. You will educate internal and external personnel on SMS policies, analyze safety metrics, and conduct audits to improve safety culture.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Safety, Strategy and Innovation, the role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a field directly related to the type of work being performed.
• Three years of professional administrative, financial, or analytical experience are required.
• Professional experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Maintains and manages the FAA-compliant Safety Management System (SMS).
• Develops policies and procedures to support SMS.
• Tracks safety recommendations and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
• Conducts safety risk assessments for projects and events.
• Investigates accidents and safety incidents and reports findings with corrective actions.
