Job summary

City of Cleveland is hiring an Airport Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The role ensures a safe environment by implementing the TSA-approved Airport Security Program and coordinating with security teams, law enforcement, and departments.

The ideal candidate will have college coursework in a related field, security program experience, and the TSA certification requirement to be met within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of college in Business/Public Administration/Criminal Justice or related field required.
• One year of full-time direct responsibility for a security program at a large facility required.
• Must obtain Airport Security Coordinator certification within six months of hire.
• Must pass TSA CHRC and employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day airport security operations and enforce TSA-approved Airport Security Program.
• Supervise assigned staff; develop work plans and provide coaching and evaluations.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and compliance testing for security regulations.
• Collaborate with TSA, federal/state/local law enforcement on policies and incidents.
• Lead security trainings and briefings for leadership, tenants, and contractors.
