Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and SD law enforcement certification.
• One year of relevant work experience and minimum age 21.
• Successful completion of firearm safety training and requalification annually.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set posts, adjust schedules, brief priorities, and coach staff.
• Maintain armed presence, support TSA, and ensure security of the airport.
• Run compliance checks, respond to alarms, and conduct inspections.
• Coordinate with airport ops and law enforcement, manage emergencies, and testify when needed.
• Detain passengers with weapons or dangerous items and document actions.
