Job summary

Tucson Airport Authority seeks a Safety & Health Leader to oversee airport-wide safety and health regulatory matters at TUS and RYN. You will direct OSHA compliance, training programs, and the implementation of the FAA-mandated Safety Management System.

The role requires coordinating risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations while advising leadership on safety improvements and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial safety, occupational health or related field.
• In lieu of a degree, 3 years of progressively responsible safety and employee training experience incl. FAA SMS.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of safety, health regulatory and policy issues for TAA departments.
• Develop and manage the Safety Management System (SMS) as required by FAR Part 139.
• Coordinate and supervise safety training and audits; report safety metrics to leadership.
• Lead investigations of incidents and develop corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Advise on compliance with OSHA, NFPA, FAA and other regulations.
