Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is hiring a Ramp Agent to load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail, and to marshal aircraft to and from gates while ensuring safe ground operations. The position requires 18+ years old, legal work status, valid driver’s license, and English communication skills.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, pass a background check and drug screen, and be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays. PrimeFlight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and communicate in English (spoken and written).
• Able to access information in print and electronic formats.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Eligible for required credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Able to work fixed and flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto aircraft with accuracy.
• Operate ground service equipment (pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, baggage carts).
• Read and analyze load sheets, baggage tags and cargo labels.
• Marshalling aircraft to and from gates.
• Ensure safe movement of aircraft on the ground.
• Follow safety protocols and airline regulations.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Lift heavy objects in varying weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and airline personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures for ramp operations.
• Adapt to changing flight schedules and priorities.
• Represent PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
