Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Shift Manager I to assist branch management in executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operating to high standards, making decisions using prescribed policies.

The role requires 2 years of food & beverage and 6 months supervisory experience, with ability to manage schedules, safety, and cash handling. On-site at New Orleans Airport location with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food & beverage, cash handling and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policies, and converse with customers.
• Ability to work varied shifts including opening, busy day parts, and closing.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists according to company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring input, and promotions decisions.
• Assigns tasks and prepares schedules to ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and handles cash per policy and security procedures.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities per the Manager’s Guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Maintains current associate contact information.
