Job summary

The City of Charlotte's Aviation Department seeks an Airport Planning Project Coordinator to support the Planning Program Manager on complex tasks at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. You will work with internal and external groups, agencies, stakeholders, and community organizations to advance planning initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing planning programs, preparing reports for the Airport Master Plan, NEPA, AIP/PFC funding, and coordinating with Finance and Architecture

Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree plus three years of experience.
Master's Level Degree plus one year of experience.
Any equivalent combination of training, education and minimum five years of airport-level experience.

Responsibilities

Develops planning programs and analyzes planning data; manages the Airport's Capital Improvement Program.
Researches and prepares reports for complex issues including the Airport Master Plan and NEPA.
Coordinates planning and construction projects with other departments and public agencies.
Presents plans or project overviews to public groups and stakeholder committees.
Collaborates with Finance and Architecture teams to fund and manage projects.
