Naples Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Operations and Maintenance in Naples, FL. The role leads operations, maintenance, and security, ensuring safe, compliant airport facilities and services amid growth with American Airlines service launching in 2026.

The ideal candidate has a strong leadership background, extensive industry knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets and strategic plans in a dynamic, coastal municipality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience considered.
• Minimum of four years in airport operations, maintenance, security, or airport management with leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge of airport operations, facilities, airfield maintenance, FBO operations, and safety and security requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA, TSA, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, capital projects, and resources.
• Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Operations, Maintenance, and Security departments.
• Direct safe and efficient operation and maintenance of airport facilities, airfields, infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee airport certification, safety, security, and regulatory compliance programs.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Authority's SMS.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities; coordinate with emergency response agencies.
• Direct airport maintenance programs, inspections, repairs, and construction-related safety activities.
• Lead departmental staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, resources, capital equipment needs, and long-range planning.
• Collaborate with airport departments, regulatory agencies, tenants, contractors, and community stakeholders.
