Job summary
The City of Loveland is seeking an Airport Operations Technician to maintain airfield safety and regulatory compliance 24/7. Responsibilities include daily inspections, winter operations, and coordinating with FAA, TSA, and tenants to ensure secure, efficient airfield operations.
Qualified candidates will have 2 years of airport operations experience and an aviation-related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications
- Two years of airport operations experience required.
- Associate or higher degree in aviation or related field required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent mix of education/experience may substitute.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational readiness of safety and security protocols per Airport Certification Manual.
- Perform daily airfield inspections and respond to incidents/irregular operations.
- Operate aviation radios and support 24/7 airport communications.
- Support security compliance and enforcement of Airport Security Plan after training.
- Monitor weather and issue NOTAMs as needed; assist with winter operations.
