Job summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking an Airport Operations Representative I to ensure safe, efficient airport operations across airside and landside areas. The role monitors aircraft and passenger movement, enforces security regulations, and coordinates with tenants and agencies.

The position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays, and the successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Airport/Aviation Management or related field and pass required background checks and badge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Airport/Aviation Management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation security protocols.
• Ability to obtain ATL SIDA badge and pass background checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aircraft movements and coordinate with ground crews and tenants.
• Inspect airfield areas for FAA compliance and safety.
• Assist in emergency response per Airport Emergency Plan.
• Maintain daily event logs and incident records.
• Communicate operational status to stakeholders and agencies.
