The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Airport Operations Specialist to perform maintenance and inspections at the Knowlton Executive Terminal (1019), supporting FAA-certified airport operations and security. The role is based in Columbus on-site and includes 24/7 on-call duties.

Required: HS diploma, valid driver's license, ability to obtain FAA airport driver test within 60 days; CDL is a plus. 40-hour week with comprehensive benefits; first shift; background check may apply.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current valid driver's license; must pass FAA airport driver's test within 60 days of employment.
  • CDL desired; AAAE Basic ASOS; familiarity with FAR Parts 36, 77, 14 CFR Part 139, and 150 series Advisory Circulars.
  • Working knowledge of general trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Perform facility maintenance at University Airport as required for an FAA certificated airport.
  • Conduct airfield, building, and grounds inspections and maintenance.
  • Assist with vehicle inspections/maintenance and security and public safety functions.
  • Operate construction and snow removal equipment pertaining to runways, taxiways, and airport grounds.
  • Assist with special events at the airport.
