The Airport Operations Specialist position at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center involves hands-on maintenance and inspections at the University Airport. You will perform airfield, building, and grounds inspections, and assist with vehicle maintenance, security duties, and special events in a 24/7 operation.
Required are a valid driver's license, FAA airport driver testing within 60 days, and knowledge of relevant FAR parts. CDL and AA AE ASOS familiarity are desirable.

Performs facility maintenance activities at the University Airport as required for an FAA certificated airport; conducts airfield inspections and maintenance; conducts building inspections and maintenance; conducts airport grounds inspections and maintenance; assists with vehicle inspections and maintenance; assists with security and public safety functions; operates various construction equipment and vehicles; operates snow removal equipment pertaining to runways, taxiways, and airport grounds; assists with special events at the airport.
This position is on emergency call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Minimum Education Requirement: HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent educ/exp Experience: Required: Current valid driver's license; must be able to pass FAA required airport driver's test within 60 days of employment; Desired: Commercial Driver's License (CDL); AAAE Basic ASOS; familiarity with Federal Air Regulation Parts 36, 77, 14 CFR Part 139, and 150 series Advisory Circulars; working knowledge of general trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc)
The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
