Job summary

Massachusetts Port Authority's Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) seeks an Airport Operations Shift Manager to lead safety, security, and operational excellence in a dynamic, unionized environment. You will collaborate with airlines, agencies, tenants, and internal teams to sustain uninterrupted airport services.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional experience in airport operations.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position and public contact experience.
• Knowledge of FAA Rules and Regulations pertaining to airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong leadership and operational judgment in a complex airport environment, ensuring safety, security, regulatory compliance, and service excellence while balancing competing priorities and making informed decisions that support uninterrupted operations.
• Serves as a key partner to airlines, government agencies, tenants, contractors, consultants, and internal departments, building collaborative relationships, coordinating across diverse stakeholders, and driving solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience.
• Provides calm, decisive leadership during emergencies, severe weather events, audits, and operational disruptions, maintaining situational awareness, managing risk, and ensuring the protection of passengers, employees, infrastructure, and airport assets.
• Directs and coordinates key operational, safety, security, environmental, and compliance functions, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional service to airport users and stakeholders.
