Job summary

Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) seeks an Assistant Director, Aviation Security Operations to lead TSA-approved security programs across BOS, Logan, Hanscom Field, and Worcester. Ensure ASP compliance and tight coordination with federal, state, and local entities.

You will govern security personnel, set priorities, and drive data-driven improvements while balancing safety with efficient operations to deliver secure aviation experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or related field.
• 10 years of experience in Homeland Security or Aviation Security, incl 5+ years in a supervisory/management role.
• Working knowledge of TSA regulations parts 1540, 1542, 129, 139 and ICAO standards.
• Experience working with senior aviation officials, federal/state/local law enforcement, and airport tenants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, administration, and ongoing enhancement of TSA-approved aviation security programs, ensuring ASP and regulatory compliance.
• Foster collaboration among law enforcement, regulators, airport operators, tenants, and internal units to coordinate security operations and incident response.
• Provide leadership to aviation security personnel; set priorities, evaluate performance, and drive improvements via audits, risk assessments, and metrics.
• Champion security innovation and resilience by developing security plans, evaluating risks, and aligning with Massport business objectives.
