Job summary

Kaav Inc in Texas seeks an experienced Airport Operations & Aviation Manager to lead executive oversight, operations, finances, and regulatory compliance for a regional general aviation airport.

Balancing daily airfield operations with long-range planning, capital projects, grant management, and strong stakeholder relations, the ideal candidate will bring aviation operations expertise and proven municipal/public administration leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Airport Management, Business Administration or Public Administration is required.
• Master’s degree preferred where applicable.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive airport operations or aviation management experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a direct supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, CIP, grant administration, and airfield safety.

Responsibilities

• Executive & Airfield Operations: oversee day-to-day ops across 502 acres, airfield safety, maintenance, runway inspections, and fueling services.
• Financial Stewardship: develop and manage the airport’s ~$2.4M annual operating budget and financial reporting.
• Grant & CIP Management: lead capital projects and FAA/TxDOT grant compliance and scheduling.
• Stakeholder & Board Leadership: liaise with Mayor/Council, FAA, tenants, and community partners.
• Team Leadership: mentor 6 airport staff, fostering safety, service, and readiness.
