Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Airport Manager to lead the overall administration, operations, and maintenance of a client-owned airport in Bartow, FL. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while directing a multidisciplinary team to meet tenant expectations.

You’ll interact with the client, tenants, and regulatory agencies, implement effective procedures, and coordinate safety, planning, and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Engineering from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess solid knowledge of project management duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports the needs and expectations of the client, establishing operational procedures and ensuring consistent application across the airport.
• Serves as liaison between the client and tenants, coordinating access, move-in logistics, maintenance requests, and facility use.
• Conducts routine airfield inspections and coordinates corrective actions for compliance, safety, or operational issues.
• Maintains accurate airport records, logs, and reports.
• Coordinates with FAA and state aviation regulators on compliance.
• Prepares reports, recommendations, and plans for client review; implements actions after approval.
• Supports community and stakeholder engagement with adjacent property owners or municipalities.
