Job summary

Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport is hiring an Airport Operations Supervisor to lead a shift, oversee emergency response, snow removal, and construction activities. The role ensures FAA/TSA compliance, staff development, and continuous operations around the clock.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong collaboration, and the ability to coordinate complex operations while maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy airside environment.

Qualifications

• US resident with valid driver’s license; able to obtain WI license within 6 months.
• Experience in airport operations and supervisory roles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and coordinate multiple activities.
• Proficient with office software and NOTAM systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Airport Operations Personnel and ensure SOP compliance.
• Lead irregular operations and issue ENS messages as needed.
• Prepare shift schedules and manage time-off requests.
• Activate Emergency Operations Center during incidents.
• Supervise airfield/terminal construction to FAA/TSA regs.
• Coordinate snow removal and serve as Snow Boss when required.
• Prepare reports and help develop SOPs and guides.
• Understand duties of AOC I/II and step into roles if needed.
• Investigate employee issues with management oversight.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
