Job summary

City and County of San Francisco seeks an experienced Airport Duty Manager to oversee all airport activities under general management. You will coordinate operations, lead staff across terminals, security, airfield, baggage, and landside areas, and act as senior on duty and media spokesperson during off hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of professional-level airport/aviation work experience in customer service, facilities, or operations at a medium to large airport.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver’s license prior to employment.
• Education Substitution: up to two years if applicable.
• Two years of supervisory experience in planning, directing, and/or managing airport facilities/aviation operations.
• Possession of ICS certificates (100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all operational activities of airport staff to ensure safety and security of passengers, tenants, and employees.
• Direct influence over the performance of all airport operational staff including terminals, security, airfield, baggage, parking facilities, remote property, and landside operations on a shift by shift basis.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Five years of professional-level airport/aviation experience

Supervisory experience in airport operations (Desirable)

ICS (100,200,300,400,700,800) certificates (Desirable)
