Job summary

Broward County Board of County Commissioners Aviation Department seeks an Airport Manager in the Aviation Operations Division to oversee the AOCC at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The role requires deep AOCC knowledge and airport regulatory compliance.

You will lead console and radio operations, coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, supervise staff, and drive emergency response planning to ensure safe, efficient airport operations in a large hub international setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Requires four (4) years in airport management including AOCC functions, with at least one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with airport stakeholders including FAA, TSA, and operators.
• Ensure AOCC readiness across Customer Service, Operations, Security, Gate Control and Maintenance.
• Develop and maintain AOCC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Oversee budgets and contract administration; coordinate special projects.
• Supervise staff, train and coach employees; prepare performance evaluations.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and drills.
