Job summary

A leading airline ground support company in El Paso, Texas is seeking an Operations Agent to ensure the safe and efficient boarding of aircraft while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing weight and balance, coordinating with various dispatch teams, and operating boarding bridges. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and demonstrate good communication skills. The position offers a starting pay of $13.00/hr with part-time hours and bi-weekly payment.

  • Provide legendary Customer Service by assuring weight and balance of aircraft.
  • Arrange for fueling of aircraft as required.
  • Communicate with Airport Dispatch and Airlines Dispatch.
  • Prepare weight and balance forms and close out flights.
  • Coordinate special services needed on aircraft.
  • Operate boarding bridge and coordinate boarding and deplaning.
  • Ensure ground security and operations follow security procedures.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • An Operations agent provides legendary Customer Service by assuring weight and balance of aircraft, efficient boarding of aircraft, and coordinating Ramp, Operations, Provisioning, and aircraft servicing to accomplish on-time performance.
  • Arranges for fueling of aircraft as required
  • Communications with Airport Dispatch, Communications with Airlines Dispatch, Updating FLIFO, and communications with station flight departures/arrivals
  • Prepares weight and balance forms
  • Close out flights: files and maintains accurate flight papers
  • Prepares dispatch release forms and collects weather reports from OTIS for the crew
  • Coordinates special services needed on aircraft such as servicing lavatories, cabin grooming, wheelchairs for customers, and special emergency cleaning
  • Operates boarding bridge, coordinates boarding and deplaning of customers
  • Works with Gate Agents in expediting the check-in process, collects boarding passes and/or electronic boarding data, and verifies boarding counts
  • Handles station AMS and radio communications traffic
  • Prepares dispatch release forms and collects weather reports from the informational system for crewmembers and keeps all Station team members apprised of flight and weather information
  • Responsible for ground security and assuring Operations follow security procedures
  • Must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and via radio equipment
Ramp Operations Agent Details

Requirements
  • Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Capable of processing information in a timely manner
  • Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
  • Basic Computer literacy
  • Previous ramp or airline experience
  • Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certification through employment
  • Must clear an FBI fingerprint background check and obtain a customs seal
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises
Working Hours
  • Must be able and flexible to work variable shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Specific shifts to be determined
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations
Compensation
  • Starting Pay $13.00/hr
