Job summary

Ramos CS, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks an MEP Inspector to support LAWA's construction inspection and join the LAWA QA&C Inspection Division across multiple CIP projects.

The role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, code compliance, and proven public works inspection experience. On-site work in Los Angeles with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and plumbing inspection experience for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the construction of airport improvements and utilities to ensure conformance with plans, specs, permits, and environmental documents.
• Conducts daily inspections of mechanical and plumbing systems across building and terminal construction, reviewing blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Prepares comprehensive daily inspection reports documenting the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all activities with accuracy and accountability.
• Verifies contractor compliance with local and national mechanical/plumbing codes and LAWA standards.
• Tracks time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities; assists in validating progress payments.
• Supports special inspections and testing activities coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies.
• Inspects mechanical systems including domestic water, sewage, venting, HVAC, fire life safety, and underground utilities.
