Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking an Electrical/IT Inspector to support LAWA’s electrical construction inspection within LAWA’s QA & Construction Inspection Division. The role covers daily inspections of electrical and IT systems on terminal construction, with heavy emphasis on code compliance and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical/IT inspection experience, an ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification, and recent NFPA

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical/IT inspection for building construction.
• ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification is required.
• NFPA 70E training in the last 3 years.
• Cal-OSHA 30-hour training in the last 4 years.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 72.
• Fall protection and harness training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience overseeing building codes on major construction projects.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Familiarity with PMIS like MS Office, PM Web, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical and IT systems on building/terminal projects.
• Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports documenting all details.
• Verify contractor compliance with NEC/NFPA standards and LAWA rules.
• Track time-and-material work, changes, and quantities.
• Assist in validating progress payments based on the schedule of values.
• Support inspections and testing with engineers, contractors, and third parties.
