Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Maintenance associate at the Honolulu airport location. The role involves general maintenance and repair to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and to manage the maintenance budget.

It is a non-exempt position reporting to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager based on local requirements. Essential functions include diagnosing and repairing systems, maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and coordinating repairs within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance field.
• Knowledge of trades such as landscaping (where applicable), small appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Ability to pass HMSHost MVR background check and maintain safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs within guidelines and health and safety regulations.
• Maintains small appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry as needed.
• Ensures facilities meet local, state and federal regulations and operates within approved budgets.
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedules and records for all systems and equipment.
• Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable.
