Job summary

Dufry Careers is seeking a Maintenance associate to perform general maintenance and repairs at the Honolulu airport location. This non-exempt role requires ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and maintaining the approved maintenance budget.

Reports to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager as required. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing and repairing various systems, maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum 1 year experience in maintenance field.
• Knowledge of trades such as landscaping, small appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Requires a clean driving record; HMSHost MVR background check required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to bend, twist to perform normal job functions.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver items weighing 80 lbs.
• Must be able to perform tasks on a ladder.
• Must tolerate varying climates from extreme heat to extreme cold.
• Must operate equipment that requires continual hand and arm motions.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs within guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintains small appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Ensures facilities meet health and safety regulations at all times.
• Coordinates repairs within approved budgetary guidelines.
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and records for all systems and equipment.
• Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable.
