Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) in Fort Myers, FL seeks an entry-level technician to assist with maintenance on Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges. You will support technicians, read manuals, and perform routine tasks with strict safety adherence.

Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical experience, the ability to follow instructions, and willingness to work non-traditional hours in a busy airport environment. Training is provided, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience, 1 year on BHS or PBB, or able to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Ability to read and follow repair manuals, schematics and supervisor instructions.
• Must be able to work non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic maintenance including preventive, routine and emergency tasks; clear system jams.
• Diagnose equipment failures under guidance of senior personnel; ensure safe operation.
• Read repair manuals and schematics; follow supervisor instructions.
• Work in tight spaces with PPE and fall protection; follow safety procedures.
• Complete safety training and company policy trainings; maintain forms for work assignments.
• Assist with general cleaning, greasing and sweeping of equipment; support technicians.
