Job summary

Allegheny County Airport Authority is seeking a Laborer to support maintenance at Pittsburgh International Airport. You will perform heavy physical tasks, assist with road, runway and ramp repairs, and help keep the airport grounds and facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include concrete work, painting, landscaping, snow removal, material handling, and compliance with FAA safety guidelines. A strong safety mindset and a current PA driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PA Class 'C' Driver’s license; airfield test within 30 days.
• Own PPE (safety footwear) required.
• Adhere to ACAA safety dress code and PPE policy.
• Pesticide/weed applicator license beneficial.
• Knowledge of FAA Ground Control radio procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop or participate in job safety analysis procedures.
• Mix/pour concrete, asphalt, hot mix for repairs on runways, ramps, and roads.
• Operate jackhammer to break pavement.
• Paint taxiways, runways, ramp areas and pavement markings.
• Cut grass, trees, seed, fertilize, spray, prune, landscape work.
• Empty trash, clean work areas, assist with sand cleanup on ramp.
• Remove snow on sidewalks; assist plow trucks/runway sanders.
• Move materials; assist ground crew; support demolition and wiring tasks.
• Maintain water conveyance systems; perform related duties.
