Job summary

Habersham County is seeking an Airport Line Technician (PT) to provide basic ground support for aircraft, including marshaling, fueling, and customer-facing tasks. You will interact with pilots and crew, handle baggage assistance, and help maintain a clean, safe ramp environment.

This role requires outdoor work, flexibility, and a service-oriented attitude. The position pays $16.00 per hour, non-exempt, with a focus on safety and efficient airport operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and approved driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds rarely.

Responsibilities

• Marshaling aircraft through arrivals and departures, moving aircraft.
• Providing basic service for aircraft, e.g., fuel, oil, lavatory, water, etc.
• Driving vehicles in areas congested with moving and stationary aircraft, vehicles, and equipment.
• Transporting clients.
• Greeting pilots, passengers, and crew members.
• Assist with customer service duties as needed.
• Ensure hangars, tarmac and client areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Ensuring a safe environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Yard work, including mowing of the facility grounds.

Job Summary:This position provides basic service to the aircraft such as marshaling, towing, fueling, replenishing ice, water, and papers. The Line Technician must have a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills interacting with customers, receiving instructions, confirming details, assisting with baggage, etc. We are seeking candidates with friendly and outgoing personalities who have experience working outdoors with heavy equipment, experience providing quality customer service, the ability to work flexible hours as needed, and a desire to work in an aviation setting. This position is responsible for operating a safe, efficient airport.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have the ability to work with a variety of equipment and vehicles, including a riding
• Must have a valid driver's license and approved driving record.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds rarely.
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with NATA's Professional Line Service Training is preferred.

The successful candidate must pass a Background/Reference Check, and Pre-Employment Drug Screenings prior to the start of employment.
