Qualifications

• Previous experience in kitchen utility or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and responsibility for cleanliness and organization.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform lifting tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the kitchen including dishwashing, equipment, floors and surfaces.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots and pans in an organized manner.
• Assist with food preparation tasks under supervision.
• Support kitchen team in stocking supplies and organizing storage areas.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen storage including supplies and equipment.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling following proper procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe kitchen.
• Collaborate with staff to assist with plating and garnishing dishes.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
• Take direction from kitchen manager and contribute to a positive work environment.
