Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking; able to identify and use various utensils and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to understand basic math and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Cooks, plates, and follows portion standards for food products per production requirements.
• Review daily pull and prep lists to plan activities.
• Cook and store foods at required temperatures; label, date, and rotate products.
• Prepare items from scratch using Company recipes.
• Test foods for proper cooking using tasting, smelling, and measuring methods.
• Monitor and maintain proper cooking temperatures on large-volume equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep area and equipment; follow hygiene practices.
• Adhere to safety standards for operating and maintaining equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform opening and/or closing side work per checklists.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
