Job summary

Peraton is hiring Customer Technical Specialists to support the DHS/TSA at airports nationwide. The role provides IT operational and project support to the Federal Security Director and screening workforce, delivering high-quality services across on-site and off-site locations.

Responsibilities include technical guidance, ticketed IT issue resolutions, and hands-on support for a range of hardware and network systems, with travel up to 25%. On-site work at Washington, DC (DCA) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0 years' experience or Associate's degree with 2 years of experience or HS diploma/equivalent with 4 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain a DHS EOD clearance.
• Experience supporting end-user IT hardware and software in desk-side or field service environments.
• Experience supporting variety of IT technologies (laptops, mobile devices, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills to support senior government staff professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for IT and network systems including Cisco switches, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues remotely and in-person.
• Install and configure end-user devices like laptops, mobile devices, and VTC units.
• Support infrastructure components such as fiber backbones, patch panels, and network interconnectivity.
• Log and manage updates through a ticketing system and maintain asset records.
• Conduct IT inventory audits and update equipment documentation.
• Recommend technology and process improvements in partnership with leadership.
• Deliver professional support to senior government personnel in high-profile environments.
