Job summary

Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain safe, secure operations at the on-site RDU campus. The role involves directing ground traffic, patrolling terminals and parking areas, and supporting emergency responders in various weather conditions.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and 1+ year experience in security, traffic control, or customer service, with strong communication and calm, professional presence on-site.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around terminals.
• Patrol terminals, parking areas, and airport perimeter.
• Respond to alarms and unusual activity.
• Walk or stand for extended periods in varied weather conditions.
• Support emergency responders (Police, Fire, EMS).
• Assist passengers with directions, parking, and airport information.
• Enforce airport traffic and security rules.
• Complete written reports and logs.
• Perform additional related work as required.
