Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for maintaining financial, safety, and operational standards, developing staff, and ensuring effective communication of policies and values. This role involves managing a 24-hour operation in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, service delivery, and continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of business management, financial concepts, and operational performance is essential.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct monthly safety meetings for all employees.
  • Manage all operational activities and carrier contracts.
  • Conduct flight, station, and behavior audits.
  • Participate in safety conference calls.
  • Communicate safety policies and core values to all staff.
  • Coordinate staffing and manpower requirements with customers.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA, DOL, EEOC).
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and documentation.
  • Manage procurement and supplies.
  • Review payroll and monitor costs.
  • Hold regular meetings with supervisors and staff.
  • Inspect facilities and ensure compliance with appearance standards.
  • Review operational reports and investigate service failures.
  • Administer operational plans for various scenarios.
  • Conduct personnel evaluations.
  • Engage with authorities and attend relevant meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in the airline industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership and financial management experience.
  • Executive presence and experience in large corporate environments.
  • Experience managing multiple customer markets.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible schedule to be visible to clients and teams as needed.
