Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is hiring an Airport Facility Maintenance Specialist I to perform basic maintenance, repair, inspection, and upkeep of airport buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will help with preventive maintenance, minor construction, and airport-specific facility support under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and comfortable using hand and power tools. The role includes weather-related duties, safety compliance, and documentation of work performed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, safety practices, and building maintenance methods.
• Experience with custodial, grounds, or facility upkeep is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level to semi-skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and upkeep of airport facilities and grounds.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance and minor construction tasks.
• Report safety concerns and maintenance needs to supervisor and maintain proper records.
