Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking an Airport Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the upkeep of runways, pavements, and grounds. You will train, direct, and evaluate staff while coordinating with the Airport Operations Manager to meet daily and seasonal needs.

You will apply 14 CFR Part 139 and 49 CFR Part 1542 knowledge, manage equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operations including snow control and security procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of part 139/1542 regulations.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and performing maintenance on airfield systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations of the airport.
• Schedule staff, prepare work orders, and set project priorities.
• Direct snow removal, airfield lighting, and facility upkeep tasks.
• Respond to aircraft and airport emergencies and assist as incident commander if needed.
