Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist I to maintain airport buildings, grounds, and systems. You will assist with routine maintenance, minor construction, and general facility support under supervision.

Ideal candidates have high school or GED and some manual labor or custodial experience. The role requires reliability, safety awareness, and ability to follow procedures in a 24/7 airport environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Preferred experience in manual labor, custodial work or building maintenance.
• Ability to learn airport facilities and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level to semi-skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and upkeep of airport facilities.
• Assist with basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other maintenance tasks.
• Support routine preventive maintenance and document work performed.
