Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking an Airport Facilities Services Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee janitorial, pest control, environmental, and related contracted services at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and surrounding facilities. The role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include managing contracts, supervising a diverse crew, coordinating space setups, and assisting with maintenance and snow operations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience.
• Preference for Associate’s or Bachelor’s with 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with environmental regulatory compliance preferred.
• Membership/certifications with IEHA or ISSA CIMS GB Expert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages janitorial, pest control, environmental, and contracted services at Charlotte Douglas Intl Airport and 80+ facilities.
• Monitors contracts for waste removal, pressure washing, window cleaning, and interior landscaping.
• Assists with operation of compacting trashcans and dumpsters; troubleshoots issues and performs basic maintenance.
• Responds to tenants, public, and coworker requests; coordinates room setups and special events.
• Coordinates repairs with Building Maintenance and supports snow operations as needed.
