Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Rhode Island is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-controlled baggage and conveyor systems at the airport ramp. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical expertise and a focus on safety and operational excellence.

You will log maintenance data in CMMS, operate forklifts and company vehicles, and respond to maintenance calls, including baggage jams.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
• Available to work 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PLC-controlled baggage and conveyor systems to ensure smooth airport operations.
• Service and repair PLC-driven conveyor and baggage systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Log detailed maintenance data into the CMMS.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
• Respond to maintenance calls and assist in clearing baggage jams.
• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
