Job summary

The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority is seeking an Environmental and Project Support Specialist to advance the airport's environmental program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and FAA Part 139 requirements.

Responsibilities include developing SWPPP and SPCC plans, coordinating environmental considerations across projects, training staff and tenants, and supporting budgeting and bid processes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering, applied science, or equivalency.
• 1–3 years' experience in general engineering and environmental regulations.
• Valid Tennessee driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing SWPPP and SPCC plans.
• Provide guidance to staff and tenants and schedule annual training.
• Support development of environmental sustainability goals and processes.
• Assist with bid submittals and RFQs, and coordinate SOQs.
• Conduct EPSC inspections and maintain environmental data and reports.
• Coordinate meetings and support project teams, engineers, contractors, and regulators.
• Ensure SPCC and SWPPP compliance and proper reporting and permitting.
